Ditto Dressers, Movie Reviews

The last time I made a trip by airline as I was waiting for my ride something peculiar became apparent to me.  Most of the men who got off the plane were dressed exactly alike.  It was not like they were wore uniforms or company logoed shirts with matching pants, they were just wearing the same combinations of clothing in different colors.  A good example is that is one had a polo on with slacks, so did the other one, with different colors.  If one had jeans on then the other one did to, and if one had pressed jeans on so did the other guy.  This pattern went on till everyone was off the plane and picking up their bags.  So, now I was really intrigued by this consistent practice of dressing and wondered what has happened.  Of course the other thing is they would both be holding their beloved cell phone close to their heart and it appeared that each had their computer in their carrying case.  While I did not actually count the number of men dressed alike I thought it was enough to say at least 40% and that would be a big number.  Now the question is why would I notice this and why would I write about it.  I think that would put me in a category of some kind of paranoid person, in that what does it really matter and why would I notice that in the first place.  The conclusions I settled on in answering this question is that nowadays people, especially men, do not want to be different so they take the easy way out and call their traveling partner before they dress to see what they are wearing.  The other thing that they might do is watch what that person wears everyday and then make sure to dress that way.  It might also be a lack of confidence in dressing for the public, so they copy their fellow workers.  Then if that is the case you would then wonder how they do their job if they can’t make up their mind what to wear.  The other conclusion, and I waited for the last for this, is they might possibly be gay so they want to be in harmony with their partner.  Or, this could be some kind of fetish with me and it irritates me to see two people dressed alike.  That could go back to my 24.5 years of being in a Army uniform and having to wear the same clothing as my fellow soldiers every day during work and training.  Regardless I think I have melted this subject down to nearly nothing and I will challenge my readers, if I have any, to notice this the next time they fly.  Good luck!!

Movie Reviews:(It has been some time since I have posted reviews, so some of these movies are a tad old, but some are still showing, if nothing else you can catch the good ones on Pay for TV.)

“Self/Less”,  **, An extremely wealthy man(Ben Kingsley), dying from cancer, undergoes a radical medical procedure that transfers his consciousness into the body of a healthy young man.  But all is not as it seems when he starts to uncover the mystery of the body’s origin and the organization that will kill to protect its cause.  Rated PG-13 for sequences of violence, some sexuality, and language.

“Jurassic World”, ***, Twenty-two years after plans to open Jurassic Park fell apart.  Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park call Jurassic World.  In an effort to increase the paying public to come to the park they had bred or designed a new dinosaur.  But, when the visitors began to pick up things went haywire with the new animal and he became very bad and dangerous.  The theme was very predictable and the cast was the same.  Only worth the matinee price.  Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of science-fiction violence and peril.
“Magic Mike XXL”, *, Three years after Mike, played by Channing Tatum, bowed out of the male stripper’s life at the top of his game, he and the remaining Kings Of Tampa hit the road to Myrtle Beach to put on one last performance.  Boring and stupid and I was the only male in the audience.  Rated R for strong sexual content, pervasive language, some nudity and drug use.

Hopefully some new ones will be reviewed by the end of this week.

EA, SH.......:)!
